Communities across the country are facing the many challenges of opioid abuse. Opioid-related deaths and related health and social problems are rising at an alarming rate. Insightformation began working on a strategic template for how a community could address the opioid crisis in way that build on the experience and plans of other communities. 

Participants will learn the value of using a “zoomable strategy map” as a way to organize the details of a multi-faceted strategy that coordinates the efforts of a broad group of stakeholders. The strategy maps also become a framework for measurement and evaluation. Participants will learn how the Oxford County Wellness Collaborative, in Maine’s Western Public Health District, started with the template and engaged a broad number of organizations to accelerate their efforts to rapidly make progress on this important health issue.
