Strategy-Aligned Research to Accelerate Dementia Prevention and Care
Now Available On Demand
Strategy-Aligned Research (SAR) is an approach to aligning and accelerating the research efforts of many different organizations to achieve greater progress on social impact that the researchers and research funders are seeking to have. SAR was pioneered in Engineering Research Centers funded in the U.S. by the National Science Foundation, but the approach is being adopted to align and improve the impact of social science research related to reducing gender-based violence and family adversity in Canada and other topics.
This webinar will introduce how SAR is aligning research findings related to strategies for ADRD prevention and caregiving. The focus is on non-pharma interventions which often don't get the level of funding that goes into pharma-centered research.

Using the Power of AI to Detect Dementia and Improve Caregiving
Now Available On Demand
The accelerating increase in people living with dementia is rapidly outstripping the capabilities of most regions to properly care for them. Fortunately, there are ways that economically scalable technologies can help us better address this extraordinary challenge. This webinar will share encouraging ways that AI technology can help with earlier and more economical detection of Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of dementia. With earlier detection, many interventions—both medications and non-pharma interventions—can have a greater success in extending the time when a person can enjoy life with fewer of the debilitating symptoms that grow worse as the disease progresses. The webinar will also share two examples of promising high-impact, low-cost strategies that can significantly enhance the care of people living with dementia in both in-home and congregate living settings.

Improve Collective Impact - Keys to Engagement, Alignment, and Results
Now On Demand
It is increasingly clear that most of the complex challenges faced by states and communities cannot be solved with isolated programs or policies. The concept of Collective Impact makes sense, and many coalitions have embraced the concept. But it is easier said than done. Most of the practices, tools, funding models, and training that people and organizations use are based on traditional approaches to working in silos--seeking funding and credit for your individual organization or program.
For the past several years, InsightFormation has been a leader in advancing techniques, tools, and approaches that are designed to improve the development of collaborative strategies and community teamwork. This webinar shares some of those key practices and how cross-sector coalitions can adopt these practices to make collective impact a reality.

Now On Demand
The Community Strategy Engagement Accelerator (CSEA) begins in early August. This session provides an opportunity to ask questions and to see details of the program in depth.
The CSEA-2023 program is a learning and doing program that provides coalition leaders and members with the knowledge and tools to develop and implement strategies for collective impact and system change. Upgrade United Way Practices for Community Impact, Funding & Evaluation
Now On Demand
For many United Ways, a major emphasis in the past decade has been to strengthen Collective Impact as a key pathway to enhance outcomes in community health, education, and economic well-being. Yet, the practical work of co-creating, implementing, and evaluating the type of multi-faceted strategies that are needed to address these complex issues has proved to be easier said than done.
This webinar will share how the United Way of Calgary (Alberta) and the United Way of Greater Nashua (New Hampshire) have adopted a set of practices that build on system thinking rather than isolated program evaluation.
The webinar will introduce techniques like strategy management at scale, strategy mapping, and upgrading from the theory of change to a theory of transformation.

Learn how to develop a community strategy for Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease
Now On Demand
Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease are serious challenges facing most communities and states. There is a wide range of resources available, but very few regions have a solid strategy that is being effectively implemented to address these issues.
Insightformation, a leader in supporting collective impact success, is offering a year-long highly interactive program to help coalitions accelerate, enhance, and monitor a multi-faceted strategy to address the challenges faced by an aging population. This program is ideal for co-creating and strengthening state and community strategies to prevent, delay and address dementia and related conditions.

Participants in this 30-minute webinar will learn how their state or local coalition can build on the inspiring work being done by a highly engaged coalition in Calgary, Alberta.
Simplifying PH Strategy & Performance Management – Less Time & Better Results
Now On Demand
With the overwhelming amount of work already on their plates, most state and local public health departments are less-than-excited about doing another strategic plan or implementing a performance management system. But, it is required for accreditation or reaccreditation. Unfortunately, even when a lot of time is invested in the planning process and trying to develop good performance management practices, the results rarely seem worth the effort.
Fortunately, there are many similarities to local health departments across the U.S. InsightFormation has templates for strategy maps and a growing set of materials to help with the many different functions of the local health department.
Beyond Zoning: Co-creating a Community Strategy for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
Now On Demand
Many cities and counties are seeing that ADUs have the potential of expanding the housing options in their communities, but they also face opposition based on a variety of fears. Too often, after a contentious political brawl, zoning changes are made to allow ADUs, but with significant limitations to help reduce the fears of ADU opponents.
Even when zoning becomes less restrictive, far fewer ADUs get built than the proponents are hoping for and there may be enough problems that the opponents can claim their opposition was justified. What's generally lacking is a multi-faceted strategy to create the types of ADUs that bring the most benefit to neighborhoods and cities and that minimize the risks. Modifying the zoning (and possibly parking) is only one of many parts of a well-crafted strategy.
HUD’s forthcoming Local Housing Policy Grant (LHPG) program (which is still being finalized and is sometimes referred to as “CDBG Pro-Housing grants”) will be providing funding to enable local governments and housing coalitions to plan and implement policy changes and strategies.
This webinar will share about InsightFormation's Community Strategy Engagement Accelerator for 2023 (CSEA-2023) and how participants in CSEA-23 can be in a cohort of communities working on details of a housing strategy to create an ADU ecosystem that results in the types of ADUs that bring the most benefit to neighborhoods and people needing housing that is relatively affordable. Joining the CSEA-23 is an ideal way to prepare for making an excellent application to the competitive LHPG program.
Streamline and Improve the development & implementation of SHIPs & CHIPs
Now On Demand
This webinar will share how InsightFormation's Community Strategy Engagement Accelerator for 2023 (CSEA-23) will simplify, speed and improve the process of health departments and their community partners as they do their assessments and then develop State Health Improvement Plans (SHIPs) or Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIPs).
While every state's SHIP and local CHIP should be unique, based on the needs, priorities, and partners, there is a LOT of excellent content for SHIPs and CHIPs that can be borrowed, shared, and re-used. InsightFormation can help you create a much more effective SHIP or CHIP by leveraging high-quality templates, strategy maps, measures, action plans, and examples of high-value partnerships.
This 30-minute webinar will have 20 minutes of presentation plus time for Q&A.
